Bridges to the sea

Born in 1984, Michael Beerens lives and works in the Paris region.

Michael Beerens' works combine his two passions: graffiti and the underwater world.

Professional diver, the street artist uses his art to raise awareness of the issues of the conservation of the flora and fauna of the depths.

His works, in bright and assertive colors, are "Bridges to the sea" which attempt to reconnect
the urban to this sometimes forgotten nature.

Inspired by the natural cavities that fascinate the artist and that he encounters during his underwater dives or his practice of caving, Michael Beerens goes further in his technique as a painter in order to magnify the interaction between light and pattern.

A committed artist, Michael Beerens also works with schools to offer workshops combining art
and awareness of marine ecology.

Inspiré par les cavités naturelles qui fascinent l'artiste et qu'il rencontre lors de ses plongées sous-marines ou sa pratique de la spéléologie, Michael Beerens va plus loin dans sa technicité de peintre afin de magnifier l'interaction entre la lumière et le motif.

Artiste engagé, Michael Beerens s'investit aussi auprès des écoles pour proposer des ateliers mêlant art et sensibilisation à l'écologie marine.
